14th Annual Fundraising Gala, Presented by A Peaceful Habitation

14th Annual Fundraising Gala, Presented by A Peaceful Habitation

Since our humble beginnings in 2005, we have depended solely on support from our community, churches, private foundations, special events and private donors. Our annual gala and fashion show have been two other profitable fundraising methods. This year, our Gala theme is Coming Home, Finishing the Race with a Kentucky Derby twist and we ask for your help in making this our best event ever! It is scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 11:30 am at the Embassy Suites here in Albuquerque.

A Peaceful Habitation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, whose sole mission is to provide faith-based and evidence-based services and resources to justice-involved and marginalized women seeking to continue their journey of recovery and reentering back to their families and communities. Ninety-five percent of incarcerated individuals will be released at some point. It has been proven that people succeed when they receive person-centered services both during and after incarceration. Our “warriors/survivors” have suffered and survived traumas, substance addictions, sexual exploitation and have made some very bad choices. What we do is provide them with the tools and community to equip, empower and encourage them to fulfill their purpose and achieve their potential.

APH, Inc. currently provides the following programs to our ladies: Donna’s House, a beautiful, safe and peaceful transitional home for women; Date at the Gate clothing program which provides release clothing for women leaving the facility so they can leave “looking and feeling good with confidence and a sense of belonging;”

God’s Provision Wellness/Reentry Center where anyone seeking a hand up can drop in and receive resources and supportive services to assist them in their journey back into their community and their families. All this has been accomplished by faith and a shoe-string budget.

As we grow, we need additional support from our community. Please consider supporting A Peaceful Habitation through your tax-deductible donation of a sponsorship or silent auction or raffle item(s). Your gift will enable us to help more people. Have you heard the saying, “Just one more, Lord.” We never know who that “one more” will be. It could be anyone, a family member, or a neighbor because addiction, trauma, and incarceration do not discriminate.

As a sponsor, you and your business will be promoted before, during and after the event through our emails, website, and social networks. Your sponsorship will be a blessing to A Peaceful Habitation and the women and families we serve.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or one of our representatives at info@apeacefulhabitation.org or call our office at 505-440-5937.
